Happy Friday Kindergarten families!

We had such a fun week in kindergarten this week. The highlight was definitely having Sound Creations teach us how to move and dance to music and the beat. Keston, our teacher, was amazing. Ask your student to show you some of their moves from the dance that we learned for, "Peanut Butter Jelly Time."

We also experimented with drawing figures in movement or in a pose. The students posed for the class and we drew what they did with their bodies. The circles represent pivot points like our elbows, shoulders, knees, and feet. This was a great drawing study for the students. The "Super Centre Circle" is a self-portrait of a pose that they enjoy.

We continued our Ocean Environment learning and decided what we wanted to be for our Celebration of Learning mini "play."

In math, we spent time talking about neighbours of numbers. For example, the number 4 has two neighbours, 3 and 5. We also looked at a number line and began plotting points on the line to show where a number is located.

We have learned the letters: Aa, Mm, Ss, Tt, Pp, Ff, IiNn, Oo, Dd, Cc, Uu, Gg, and Ee. We introduced another heart word this week: of.
