 Hello Kindergarten Families!

This week in Kindergarten we went to the Community Garden to help and learn more about the lifecycle of a plant. We did a scavenger hunt and made lots of observations about living things. We even had time to play at the playground nearby.

On Thursday, we had some special guests come to our classroom! The students were thrilled! They became scientists who observed ducklings both in and out of water. Everyone got to hold and pet the ducklings.

In math, we focused on the number 8 and started working on 9 in our journals. We represented these quantities in multiple ways. The students are getting good at counting and identifying numbers.

In gym, we continued with our kickball unit and the students have played a few rounds. They know how to run around the bases and are learning to pass the ball to teammates. This was so fun to watch as the kids were on teams and worked together to make the game fun and exciting.

We did some art that we sent home for this weekend. We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
